Yesterday, was probably the unluckiest day of my life.
It was 7.00a.m. I stumbled to the bathroom and slipped on my creased clothes. Then, I drained my glass of chocolate milk.
"Not today. T cannot be late," I muttered. It was raining cats and dogs. Outside and the traffic was crawling in Tampines. I had to make my way to tuition on my own that wet and soggy morning.
If only my father were here, he would have driven me to my tuition. I had to do something. The ball was in my court now. I stretched out my hand once more in the most familiar fashion. A blue taxi stopped beside me and I hoped in quickly.
"Ang Mo Kio" I instructed at once. The driver jerked his old taxi along the packed street. It was already 7.45a.m. and I was still mired in my flooded estate. I thought of my friends in tuition who would have started their lessons by now.
I quickly flipped through my notes in a last-ditch effort. Nothing went into my head, as I was more anxious to get to tuition quickly. Finally, I arrived and hurried to class. All my friends were already at their places, busily scribbling answers on thier scripts. They were so focused that no one looked up to acknowledge my arrival. Panting, I crept to my seat and flipped open the test paper. Without wasting a second, I wrote whatever i managed to retain in my head.
What a morning to be late!
